Facebook has had this fun little activity in the month of November where everyday you post one thing you are thankful for.  I missed some days and didn't finish well... so here is the full thirty days!  It helps to put us into the True Christmas spirit of being thankful and not wasteful.... without futher ado here they are...

30 days hath November...calls for 30 days of thanksgiving! I'll post each day one thing I am truly thankful for...won't you join me? It's so easy to complain and to be discontent in this world...this is my effort to combat it!

Day #1: thankful that God has spared my favorite valley from a repeat. (this post was following Hurricane Sandy)

Day #2: I am thankful for helping good friends but I am MORE thankful that I do not have to homework Stewart style every night.

Day #3: Thankful for a house full of giggles until 11:30pm and beginning again at 6am all to celebrate our Princess #1!!

Day #4: Today I am thankful that my kids have the priviledge to live in a country that provides a public school system that does not discriminate based on race, income, or gender. I am also thankful for teachers that put up with state regu...lations, budget cuts, federal elections, policitical agendas, and grumpy parents all to make sure my children have the opportunity to have a heads up in this great big world of ours. And finally I am thankful for living in a country that affords me the right to choose what type of education my children receive.

Day #5: Thankful for men like this that have given all to defend our right to vote tomorrow.

Day #6: Thankful for these women who are willing join me to set aside time to study God's Word while eating a yummy lunch and candy corn. Love my NOG group

Day #7: Thankful for local companies who put on awesome science programs for local schools and getting to spend time with Princess #1

Day #8: I am thankful that God is still on his throne and in control of the universe and that it is not dependent on whether or not we choose to acknowlege it. I am also thankful that I have been blessed with a warm house, heat, food, internet access, cable tv, and running water.

Day #9: Today I am thankful to be aunt "rarwah" that can teach the little miss about the finer things of life like chicken nuggets, french fries, and chocolate milk.

Day #10, #11 & #12:   I am a little behind on my thankfulness posts from the weekend. But it works nicely because today, like most others, I am thankful for the veterens who choose to serve our country. But it is personal for me because I have family that have made this choice. #1 I am thankful this generation has the choice to serve or not to serve #2 I am thankful that God has choosen to keep my family members safe from harm in the midst of a war #3 I am thankful that my three daughters can see first-hand freedom at work

Day #13: Thankful for this little peanut in my life.  She is my shopping buddy, my preschool student, my lunchmate and playmate all wrapped up into one.  I will miss her next year when she goes to school.

Day #14:  Thankful for the everydayness of life like homework, piano practice, math flashcards, spelling test study, baths, bedtime stories, and goodnight kisses cause they remind me that my life is full.

Day #15: I am thankful for the opportunity to "play" teacher for a little awhile with some cute students.  It has reminded me how much I love kids and how much I love to teach.

Day #16: I have three thankful blessings today... Princess #1, Princess #2, and Princess #3... next to Prince Charming they are the greatest blessings in my life.

Day #17: thankful for all of God's creatures even the pesky ones that want to get into my bird feeders

Day #18: Thankful for my inlaws... they are like an another set of parents to me... Happy Birthday Mom-in-law!!!

Day #19: Thankful for learning math the fun way... lots of giggles and fun competion tonight!!

Day #20: I am thankful for 24-hour Christmas music... oh yay I am also thankful for the deer Prince Charming got this morning that will fill our freezer... but mostly I'm thankful for Christmas music

Day #21: Today I am most thankful that I said "I do" to God's greatest blessing to me. He has been God's voice of reason, God's hand of love, and God's joyful fun at many points in my life. I am so thankful that God has given to me this man of God to travel with me during this thing called life. Happy 14th Anniversary Prince Charming!!

Day #22: Thankful for sitting around a table with these fine folks. Every year our Thanksgiving celebrations look just a little different and every year I am thankful for the people that join us at our table.

Day #23: Thankful for this monkey of mine... I had a great time storm tropping the sales with her!!! I came home with WAY more than I needed but it was a true "black friday" for me and I appreciated that so much!!

Day #24:  Thankful for the bird who gave up his life for my great thanksgiving. Also thankful for The Pioneer Woman and the great recipe to make him nice and tasty!!

Day #25:  Thankful for the family that butchers together....

Day #26: Thankful for Princess #2 today and her huge servant's heart.  She loves see to see a need and fill a need.  I have learned many lessons from her and I cannot wait to see where God takes her in the great big life!!

Day #27:  I am thankful today for my parents who gave me the best start in life any Big Princess could ask for.  Most importantely though they taught me about my heavenly Father, they showed me what it was like to have a heavenly-minded father (and mother) here on earth and then turned around and gave all the glory to Him.  I hope I can only do as good for my girls.

Day #28:  I am thankful (and excitied) for advent this year!  One of our family's favorite memories from last year was this new advent series we started and this year we get to continue the tradition with book number two.  We love the book so much we have shared it with our favorite West Coast family.

Day #29: I am thankful for my favorite Christmas tradition of the whole season... dinner with my brothers and sisters.  We live really busy lives and only get a chance to have dinner this time of year.  We all get to have dinner together and shop together for my mom.  And what could be better than dinner out where Dad foots the bill? ;)-

Day #30:  and finally I am thankful that "For to you is born this day in the City of David, is a Saviour which is Christ the Lord."
